Methmine™ VPN is provided by METHMINE LLC. This page explains how to delete your Methmine VPN account and what happens to your data. You do not need to sign in to read it.
In the app
Open Account, tap Delete account and confirm. The account is deleted at once.
Without the app
Write to privacy@methminevpn.com with the subject "Delete account", from the email address you sign in with, or write to our support bot @methminesupportbot from the Telegram account you sign in with. Tell us which sign-in you use (email, Apple, Google or Telegram). We may ask you to confirm that the request comes from you. We delete the account within one month, and usually much sooner, and tell you when it is done.
What is deleted
Deleting the account ends your VPN access at once. We delete immediately: your account record and sign-in identifiers, your subscription and connection credentials, your devices, your routing rules and your usage history. Copies leave our backups within 14 days.
What we keep, and for how long
- Records of the IP addresses your device used to reach our API, records of which of our VPN servers your devices connected to, from which IP address and when, and crash reports: until their 30 days run out.
- Purchase and consent records: for as long as tax and accounting law requires (generally up to 7 years).
- Anti-abuse markers: one-way hashes that cannot be turned back into your identifiers, kept for 3 years so that the free trial cannot be taken again.
Details: Privacy Notice, sections 3.9, 3.10, 3.12 and 9.
Subscriptions and refunds
- Deleting the account also cancels an automatic renewal you set up with us, so nothing more is charged.
- A subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play is managed by that store: cancel it there, because deleting the account does not cancel it.
- Deleting the account does not refund the unused part of a paid period, except where the law requires it. Consumers in the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland keep their right of withdrawal. See the Refund and Cancellation Policy, sections 1.3 and 4.
